High-quality and timely information about elections, ongoing conflicts, natural disasters, finance or health is very important. This type of information can greatly affect the wellbeing, financial security or safety of people and communities. For content about sensitive topics like these, a more prominent label in the video player may also appear for added transparency. To help creators, we may proactively select disclosure on their behalf if they disclose the use of altered or synthetic content in the title or description of their video.

Disclosing use of altered or synthetic content

Keep in mind delays are possible due to higher-than-usual application volumes, system issues, or resource limitations. All YPP applications are serviced in the order they’re received by us. Sometimes channels require multiple reviews, especially when several reviewers disagree on your channel’s suitability for YPP. The YouTube Partner Program (YPP) gives creators greater access to YouTube resources and monetization features, and access to our Creator Support teams. It also allows revenue sharing from ads being served on your content.

Creators who make a post or YouTube Short using Dream Track or Dream Screen, YouTube’s generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, don’t need to take extra steps to disclose. For other AI tools, creators need to disclose their use during the upload flow. This could include content that is fully or partially altered or created using audio, video or image creation or editing tools. Use the YouTube Studio dashboard to get an overview of your channel analytics, comments and more. If you’re not in one of the available countries/regions, there are no changes to the YouTube Partner Program for you. New users are those who have never purchased NFL Sunday Ticket and these prices will only be applied for your first season of NFL Sunday Ticket.

If you’d like us to notify you when you’re eligible, select Get notified in the Earn area of YouTube Studio. You’ll get an email once you’ve met either of the below eligibility thresholds. Once you’re in YPP, get started in YouTube Studio with Watch Page Ads, Shorts Feed Ads, Memberships, Supers, Shopping, and more. To turn on monetization features, you’ll need to review and accept the relevant module terms. Once you understand what you need to join, your channel can become eligible for YPP with either Shorts or long-form video.

You may receive unique savings offers, such as discounts or coupons. Note that if you sign up for YouTube TV through your mobile carrier or internet provider, certain account features may differ and there may be limitations with plan types. We encourage creators’ innovative and responsible use of content editing or generation tools. At the same time, we recognise that viewers want to know if what they’re watching or listening to is real. If you have active Community Guidelines strikes on your channel, you can apply after your strikes expire. You can also apply after you’ve successfully appealed to have your Community Guidelines strikes removed. Current members of the program won’t be removed when receiving Community Guidelines strikes.

If this isn’t your first application to be rejected, or you’ve previously re-applied, you can try again after a 90-day period. Keep in mind that any public watch hours from Shorts views in the Shorts Feed don’t count towards the 4,000 public watch hours threshold.
