Crescent Seafood Dumpling Soup

Ingredients

  • 12 Crescent Seafood Dumpling
  • ½ Onion
  • 4 pieces sliced Lemongrass
  • 1 tbsp Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1-2 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Chilli powder
  • A squeeze of Lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 cup Water, or as needed
  • 2 tbsp fresh Coriander leaves
  • 1 -2 tsp Chilli oil (optional)

Preparation Method

  1. In a pot on the stove, sauté Onion, Ginger, Garlic and Lemongrass until fragrant and cooked through.
  2. Add salt, chilli powder, soya sauce, fish sauce and brown sugar. Mix well.
  3. Pour in water and ½ cup coconut milk.
  4. When the broth begins to simmer, gently drop the Crescent Seafood Dumplings in.
  5. Gently simmer Crescent Seafood Dumplings in broth for 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. Add a squeeze of lime juice and the remaining coconut milk, then simmer for five minutes more.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  8. Serve hot, with a drizzle of chilli oil.
